Alumni Talks For National Careers Week 2024

The first week of March is National Careers Week, so with delight and gratitude we welcomed back a host of DAOS alumni to offer careers talks to our current students in the Sixth Form block.

Every talk was inspiring, well thought out and honest, delivering useful and practical information to young people who are often confused about career options and the choices that lie ahead of them.

Personal experience and advice is so important and the students really appreciate hearing real life stories from our alumni community. A HUGE thank you to everyone who came into school and dedicated an afternoon of their time to help. Most of the attendees said they are happy to be contacted if further advice is needed so if you would like information relating to a particular speaker (listed below), or would like to read the presentation slides, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Also, if you would consider re-visiting Owen's for the 2025 careers events, or would be willing to offer an insight into your career experience, please do get in touch. We are always on the keen lookout for help.
