Brief description of your path after Owen’s

I went to Warwick University to study French and German for 4 years BA hons. I then attended Music College in Germany (Hochschule für Musik Würzburg) for 4 years - Undergraduate Violin Performance degree.

How has your path lead you to where you are now?

I started work in 2004 at Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra, based in Leeds, touring around the country. I also freelanced on the side (recordings / tours). I left Northern Ballet in 2011 to go completely freelance, including in West End shows such as Phantom, Les Mis, Hamilton.  I have toured and recorded with (among others) Adele, Lana Del Rey, Michael Bublé, George Michael, Rod Stewart.  Post Covid, I took on a full time role at Les Miserables, the Concert version. This lead to a full time role at &Juliet (Jan-Sept 2022) and I then moved on to a full time role at Phantom of the Opera from Sept 2022.

Being in a regular position in London works for me now that I have a young son at home, I'm not so keen to tour around anymore!

Did your time at Owen’s inspire any particular skills or attributes?

Yes, music making at Owen’s was fantastic (orchestras, bands etc) and inspired me to want to pursue playing the violin as a career.

Favourite Owen’s memory?

Too many to choose one!
Symphony Orchestra tour to Paris when I was in Year 9. Competing at the Royal Festival Hall in Music for Youth completions.
